Steve isn't much for antiques. In fact, he hates them. So when he finds himself in an old antique shop taking shelter from the rain, he isn't pleased. But he finds something in there. He finds a beautiful old bed that he falls in love with and must have. But the bed is not normal, and Steve learns the hard way that sometimes you fall into things that you simply can't get up from.

The Bed eBook Travis McBee Reviews
This was the last story in Travis McBee’s anthology, A Midnight Stroll. And let me tell you, it was one heck of a way to finish off a collection. Like most of his stories it had great character development and was really easy to get into. You just get sucked in and can’t stop until the story is out of pages to read. I really enjoyed this one and will definitely give it another read!
I read this story over the course of a Sunday afternoon, even taking my in the bath with me, I was so engrossed in this story. It was a simple enough storyline; Steve finds an antique bed and we, the reader, know there's going to be some twist here. The twist, when it comes, isn't surprising but what follows is quite tense and strangely compelling as we wait to see what the outcome will be for the bed-ridden Steve.
Well written with a great flowing narrative from Travis McBee. I've never read anything by this writer before and picked this title up as a freebie. However, I will be watching to see if he comes up with anything in this genre again. )
